PREACH LOVE : Dear American Christians,

Sent: 3/17/2003 11:41 PM

Dear American Christians,

Well, here you are. How does it feel standing at the edge of something most great and tremendous? How does it feel to know your responsibility. Look linger lost beyond the canyon before you. Yes, you in this America in this world as we know it this very day are making a decision that faces grave consequences as does any and all violence, no matter its justification. And although some of you aren't exactly rooting for the team, you remain a member as even in your silence, you are saying something. It has been heard.

Therefore, I must ask you, are you willing to deal with your ramifications? Are you sure of your cause? Are all the lives sacrificed among all U.S. soldiers, Iraqi soldiers, and the men, women and children who just happen to live their lives in Baghdad worth it? And furthermore, can you justly throw stones when America itself has its own corruption, tyranny, and weapons of mass destruction?

No, no, no; rather, answer this: When it's all said and done, Christian, have you loved?

It would seem that would be exactly what American Christians should be asking of themselves as they look towards God in these most important times. Through all of this, has my concentration been on love for all? For isn't that what Christ did for you? He loved you. He loves you. He paid a quite a price for you to be you, flawed and all. You are saved by His grace. And I would think it is a small price you pay to do as He commanded you when He said to love others. Love others.

Do not be mistaken: Love cannot be wrapped in bombs or the mothers thereof. Love is not causing others to fall. Love is not saving some when you can save all.

Love is giving all that you can. Love is supporting of each and every broken man. Love is trying to understand.

Are American Christians loving only yourselves or others? Others? Perhaps you may love the idea of liberation for a people, but in your soul's life, you are not loving of the innocent, human like you, who are murdered in the process of hopefully achieving an ideal concept. A concept still flawed on this planet.

And God sees this. And God knows this.

Smelling death from my home in New York City after September 11th, I swore that I should not want for it to happen anywhere else in the world to any humans' lives. I find myself now more nauseated by the odor of my government's impending action than I was at watching a human life jump from a building to avoid the flames that would soon extinguish it. This will be happening in Baghdad very shortly, and it willbe credited to you. You.

We must think about some deep questions today. Wake up and think.

And don't be offended, for if you hear what I'm feeling you can just shout an . . . Amen.

In complete love,

PREACH LOVE : war looms like funnel clouds

Sent: 3/3/2003 8:21 PM

war looms like funnel clouds
and all hover around storm shelters
ignorant of its touch down score
however anxiously awaiting the competitor

wind is already ripping through global homes
worldly greed sucking lives of existence
endangering our species by ungodly twisters
self-destructive history created and repeated by us

winter storms brew but outside my atmosphere
where war's commercialization promotes its existence
a sport's game a movie a team to get behind
and i stop to wonder if we'll survive

the colder war

bitter winds slicing and dicing human cheeks
on every shore

when did we have to build storm shelters
to protect us from the rains of bullets
from someone much like us

birth
childhood
and
all

weary wondering what is lacking in the world
that would heal all of its woes
that cry throughout humanity
pains that seem everlasting on the earth

and Christ tells me so, "It lacks love."

so i love.

PREACH LOVE : rhymes of the times

Sent: 3/3/2003 8:16 PM

when war looms
and hatred booms
rocket doom
big typhoons
tornado left
earthquake right
wondering if
this time might
be

best be giving
it back to the One
who Truly Sacrificed His Son
to give you life to love
yourself others and God above
to live it regardless or not
this time might
be

come
Jesus

PREACH LOVE : peace beat

Sent: 3/3/2003 7:34 PM

the beat of peace is not one solely of passivity but rather one that expresses most passionately the movement that will come to be known as the dance birthing the glance of the further existence of all earth's humanity. let your body move in proof of this unity of the cosmic flow that breathes in each of thee.

the sway of peace is one that sings above and beyond all the voices that swing between the breeze. it's the one that carries and you long to hear, something so close and ever so dear, but also one that you innately deeply fear, but don't fear, don't fear. it's good. it's true. you'll see.

there's peace within thee. though it doesn't seem so still peace now that it's blossomed there within you, realized and perfected, however weighted under the conditions of being subjected to the powers that be not representing you and me as they march armies of death toward some enemy, fearful of maintaining their own power. Wowzers. Do all the earth’s lights go out because of power? shortage or overload? humanity explode.

No. No. No. there's more books still to be written of human life at the end. send. it's send. the movement of peace timely like the e-mail send. for this is not pretend. this is real. and this is us now. Flourish.

Let the American Renissance begin.

In Jesus Christ’s Name,

Amen.

PREACH LOVE : Just who do you think you are?

Sent: 3/1/2003 5:24 PM

"Just who do you think you are?" they shouted angrily. Jesus answered,

"I am the Northern Star
that guides your ships
from rocky shores
and leads you further
beyond
to the peace
nested in your heart
that My Grace
has allowed to be.

To Me,
your imperfections make you beautiful
and that sets you free
to be you who shouts at me."

"Okay.... but aren't you Joseph’s son? Mary's your mom, right? I used to play with your brother, Simon, after temple. I remember you then."

"Prophets are honored by everyone except family and their hometowns."

Yet the Love of Jesus will ever still resound. Praise God!

A Truly Awesome God!
